ISAAC’S BAR MITZVAH

ISAAC’S BAR MITZVAH PROJECT WITH MOMENTUM

Hello!

As you know it’s going to be my Bar Mitzvah, and we had planned to go to Israel to celebrate it, but we had to cancel. I believe that one of the responsibilities of becoming a man within the religion is to care about others. We had planned something to do in Israel so we can help, but since we couldn’t go, we are going to have to do it in the long distance way. We decided to help the soldiers because thanks to them we have a country. They are young men that instead of partying or traveling, they are fighting for the country. Traumatic things can happen in the army and there are probably nights that they can’t sleep. They do it so we can have a safe place, a country, and for that reason I believe that we have to work as a team; they do something for us and we do something for them. There is a program called MOMENTUM, which helps the transition of soldiers when entering and leaving the army,  giving them emotional support, but also helping them decide which career to choose, and how to get a job. The program for each soldier costs $150, and we want to raise money to help 13 soldiers. Doesn’t matter how much you can donate, whether it is a lot or a little, what matters is that we work as a team. I hope you can help me help them.
